The Case of History vs. the Tanakh and Bible presents a direct and comprehensive fact-based examinations into the scriptures, that millions accept as sacred and trust as historically correct. Rather than just reading the texts as they are, this book puts them on trial. Their origins, their claims, and recorded stories are scrutinized. In addition, by comparing biblical stories to archaeology, ancient records, and even the cultures that came before the story of Israel, the book maps out a pattern: most of the narratives in the Tanakh and the Bible were borrowed, remodeled, or even rewritten from older African and Afro-Asiatic civilizations writings.
From creation myths to patriarch tales through Moses giving of laws and Joshua's Conquest, the reader is shown how earlier texts from Egypt, Sumer, Canaan, and surrounding regions contain versions of the same themes much earlier than the Bible.
This work is not an attack on faith but rather a challenge to the claims made. It analyzes how alterations in the storytelling took place, public memory was changed, and later writers took parts from different sources, paraphrased, and sometimes also made up stories to create a new national narrative.
The Case of History vs. the Tanakh and Bible, through its clear descriptions and supported scenarios, seeks to make its readers bold enough to scrutinize the text. It explains why the narratives frequently do not pass historical tests, why there are finds from archaeology that oppose claims made by the orthodox, and how the myths and cultures of the ancient world formed what eventually was regarded as scripture.
