An escape artist dog. An alligator. A new design challenge: How do you build a boat out of cardboard that will float?
When a neighbor's dog turns up unexpectedly at the beach, Putney has a new mystery to solve. How is Rags escaping? Who's letting him out? There are alligators in the lagoon... can she keep Rags safe?
At school, everyone is buzzing about the new design challenge... a cardboard boat regatta! But when the draw for teams is held, Putney finds herself teamed up with arch-rival Sue Wexford and the sparks start to fly!
Will a game of battle boats sink their entry? Can Putney figure out a clever solution to keep their entry afloat? Or will Sue's design win the day?
Nancy Drew meets MacGyver in this fun series about friendship, middle school, and the engineering design process.
