In this inaugural book, Pastor Dartanyan T. Jamerson shares with you how to walk through heartache and come out victorious. He will take you through various aspects of his life......and how each of them helped shape him into the man he is today. As you read through the aspects of his life there will be times of both laughter and tears, and you will learn what birthed one of his favorite sayings that those he pastors love to hear him share: If it's not yet good, Gods not done working!
Through his eyes you will see and feel the trauma he felt from being rejected by his biological father, as well as the trauma and shame from being the son of a mother addicted to drugs while also living a lesbian lifestyle. You will also see how he became a father at a young age, and ultimately a single father. You'll see his struggles, and his mistakes, but also his perseverance and drive to overcome. Moreover, you will see how God was always present in his life. You'll see his commitment to therapy that helped him conquer the trauma that kept him hostage in his own life for years! How, no matter the obstacle, God kept driving him to purpose!
Dartanyan lays his life out for all to see through stories of his upbringing, career, faith, family, and his will to never give up. Through these stories, he will show you what it looks like to forgive wounds that have been present and governing your life for decades. This is more than a story! 'Call Me Ishmael is an overcomer's manual!
