Landslides pose a risk worldwide, which is why it is important to estimate the volume of material they deposit in low-lying areas. Unmanned aerial vehicles are effective for this purpose; however, there is a lack of standardized methodologies at the local level for their use and that of their derived products. This study proposes a standardized method, manual, and automated method for using UAVs and their data to assess visible changes in a landslide and its volume in hard-to-reach areas. Their calculation and mapping make it possible to observe the dynamics of material accumulation and deposition in the short term and in very small areas, with relatively low costs in terms of time and resources.
