Butterfly Aperture is a fictional novel of deep emotion and beguiling travels through Cornish coastlines, Andean mountains, and life after death. Anna wakes up in the astral realm with little memory intact. Aided by an elusive guide, she embarks upon an inter-dimensional adventure to relive a journey of intense love and terrible loss. Ultimately, her quest is one of spiritual awakening and initiation, as her exploration mirrors the painful yet liberating path from addictive to self-realised consciousness. 'Swimming underwater, I notice all the richness, all the depth, the currents and pockets teeming with life and multiple energies - some working harmoniously, others in conflict and competition... Within me I am still and silent, looking out, onto chaos and oblivion... And then, it is all I know and I cannot go back. This isn't who I am.' This edition finishes with an additional section called 'Lens for Healing, ' a commentary on the themes of addiction and spiritual ascension, followed by a richly healing guided meditation. Karen Burt worked as a Coordinator at an addiction project for many years before becoming a self-mastery teacher, speaker and author.
