This volume redraws and recomposes Keaton's 1920 short - his directorial debut - frame by frame for the comics page, adapting panel proportions, cropping, and framing to suit the pacing of sequential art. The bold black-and-white linework captures the architectural absurdity of the crooked house and the meticulous physical comedy built around it, translating one of the era's most inventive visual gags into a format built for panel-by-panel discovery.
One Week is part of an ongoing series independently publishing Keaton's silent films as graphic novels, born from a lifelong love of his comedy - where good intentions collapse under bad luck, and the harder the characters try to build something solid, the more spectacularly it falls apart. As Keaton's first solo short, this volume also marks a natural starting point for readers curious where his singular comic voice began.
