From Sparta's blood-soaked hills to the neon glare of modern London. From a Manhattan sanitation yard at midnight to a forest that refuses to fall. Jason Beech takes you everywhere danger lives - and proves it's closer than you think.
A hitman races against the clock across London, one hit standing between him and a vital engagement. Two partners in murder sit down to breakfast - and one confession is about to detonate everything. A detective haunted by dreams of his own death closes in on the men who killed his wife, one bullet at a time. A property developer squares off against something ancient in the woods that has no intention of losing. A dying woman starts hearing the thoughts of the man she loves - and wishes to God she couldn't.
Twelve stories. Twelve worlds where the wrong choice gets you killed and the right one might be worse. No time to catch your breath. No guarantee anyone makes it out.
Sharp, relentless, and packed with the kind of twists that hit like a fist to the jaw, BULLETS, TEETH, & FISTS is crime fiction bent for readers who want their pulse up and their lights off.

Violence comes into it, certainly: but the violence is never unproblematic, either for the character or the reader. It's always violence that comes from somewhere and cuts both ways.
This anthology is well-written, creative, thrilling, and bloody enthralling. I was looking forward to some fast-paced crime stories that packed a punch, but there is substantially more depth and breadth to this book. The author infuses his tales with irony and astute observation. Good characterisation throughout and clever storylines, each with a satisfying twist and an unexpected ending, make for a highly entertaining read. What makes this book a joy to read is the fact that you can't guess what the ending of each story will be! If you like short stories with kick & bite these are the ones for you. I definitely recommend Bullets, Teeth, & Fists 3 to anyone who likes the dark and gritty stories. It's definitely not for the faint of heart. If you enjoy pulp fiction, dark crime, supernatural or noir, then there will be something for you. What I find really fascinating is that each short story is crafted with a specific voice. The mood, the character, the setting, the vernacular... different in each. If you want a collection of crime stories you can really sink your teeth into, look no further than author Jason Beech.Electric.
