The author is native Floridian, residing in central Florida with her 3 adult children and a faithful support animal. Ms. Gray has always worn many hats before she became a quad-amputee, taking the field of Social Work to higher, unbelievable levels, from the traditional work of case management, to publishing then her first 2 books. During recovery of a 97-day stay in a local hospital, she resumes writing her third book, only to undergo many surgeries resulting in her limbs amputated. As a former college professor, actor, and community advocate, Ms. Gray has resumed her work as a Social Worker for both aging Americans adding the amputee community. She is a podcast host and is the Chief Community Resource Specialist/CEO of her non-profit and LLC. Born 2 Take the Hit is about the life and experience of a faith-based journey of a true servant and believer of God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. It's a brief but-to-the-point autobiography, sharing a more intimate side of being adopted, divorce, experiencing death and loss, while striving to live a repurposed, regened, and revived life. The book is real and is dictated from the lens and experience of Ms. Gray. To remember different moments did extract a tear, but because of God's saving grace, mercy, and wisdom, this book will set His captives free, enjoy!
