Because the madness will come, and if you're not in a safe place it will sweep you away. Unless you find that your own genetics have been changed while you sleep. Maybe that strange twinge you have felt in the back of your neck is just your true-self trying to emerge. Or maybe that muscle spasm that keeps causing your arm to twitch is really just the muscles changing to their true form. I don't know what you may become or have become.
