Bleeding rose was inspired by a true life story. It described how been a child of a narcissist father manipulated the emotional, psychosocial and psychological stability of the characters described in the book. Rose felt emotionally separated from her family.
Suffering from social anxiety she was often found alone, confused, and sad. Constantly put down by her father her best was never celebrated and he never seemed to care about her feelings. It's a known fact that the way we are brought up in our various homes shapes us into the adults we become.
Most times rather than fighting the philosophies and values placed on us by our parents we tend to seek an escape root with the hope of finding lasting peace. Narcissism in its most subtle nature is hard to identify most often it isn't presented as an outright abuse. However its long term effects are harmful and leave us with scars that never fade away but remains for the rest of our lives.
Bleeding rose is a short story that revealed how being a child of a narcissist parent had a lasting traumatic and catastrophic effect on their child.
