Bird's Obsidian is a multi-pov coming-of-age historical sci-fi with comedy, romance, and a splash of deadly politics. It's a celebration of Mexican Indigenous brilliance and a window into fantastical technologies inspired by mesoamerican history.
Josue of Pachuca's debut novel explores the themes of intellectual expectations, grief, and identity; including ethnicity, maturity, sexuality, and neurodivergence. No A.I. was used in any part of this book's creation.
