The book examined Crop farmers and Pastoralist conflict in Zamfara and Kaduna State of Nigeria. The above crisis has become a major cause of increasing violence and general insecurity in both Zamfara and Kaduna State. Government has made a very good effort but a lot need to be done to address this lingering problem. Both Zamfara and Kaduna State should effectively implement initiatives and legislation especially a comprehensive livestock development plan aimed at mediating agrarian contestations between herders and farmers as a long lasting solution to the problem. It is important to prioritize building trust between a communities and security forces. Farmers and herders tension will diminish when pastoralist feel included in decision making especially on matters concerning land resources and when they feel mobility is secure and respected. This book serves as an essential guide for anyone invested in Nigeria's agricultural future and rural peace-building efforts.
