All aboard for a fun, safe, and unforgettable bus ride adventure!
Benny the Bunny and Sammy the Squirrel are excited to explore the city with Mama Squirrel. When the bright red town bus arrives, the friends carefully climb aboard and greet the friendly bear bus driver. With their travel passes ready and Mama Squirrel close by, Benny and Sammy begin a colorful journey filled with new sights, cheerful passengers, and important lessons about riding safely.
As the bus travels through town, Benny and Sammy pass a bakery, a toy shop, tall city buildings, a beautiful clock tower, a sparkling fountain, and a park filled with trees and colorful kites. They wave to a friendly mail carrier, enjoy crisp apple slices, spot children walking to the library, and watch the busy world outside their window. Every stop brings something new to see and another opportunity to learn.
Along the way, Mama Squirrel teaches Benny and Sammy simple bus-safety rules that young children can understand and remember. The friends learn to hold an adult's hand while walking down the aisle, stay behind the safety line, remain seated while the bus is moving, keep their hands and paws safely inside the window, wait until the bus comes to a complete stop, and thank the driver for a safe ride. Their adventure also encourages kindness, patience, responsibility, careful listening, and respect for other passengers.
Created for children ages 4-7, Benny & Sammy's Bus Ride Adventure combines a cheerful transportation story with practical early-learning lessons. Bright, colorful illustrations help bring the bus journey to life while introducing young readers to public transportation, community helpers, city landmarks, and safe travel habits. The simple language and familiar situations make the story ideal for independent reading, shared family reading, classroom story time, homeschool lessons, daycare activities, and discussions about a child's first bus ride.
The fun continues after the story with engaging activity pages designed to strengthen observation, vocabulary, counting, matching, and reading comprehension. Children can find and count objects from the adventure, match transportation words with pictures, review what they learned, and celebrate their achievement with a special Bus Safety Rider Award.
Benny & Sammy's Bus Ride Adventure is a warm and educational picture book for children who love buses, animals, travel, and exploring their community. It is also a helpful resource for parents, grandparents, teachers, caregivers, and librarians preparing young children for a school bus, city bus, field trip, or first public-transportation experience.
Join Benny, Sammy, and Mama Squirrel as they discover that every journey can be exciting when friends work together, follow the rules, show kindness, and make safety part of the adventure!
