When life cracks, what do you do with the pieces? Being Broken is a contemporary, voice-driven novel about a man who loses what he loves and must learn how to live again.

Told in candid, short scenes, it traces his struggle with anxiety, looping thoughts, and the habits that keep him stuck-and the small, stubborn courage it takes to move forward. He works, he parents, he prays, and he tries again. There are setbacks. There are quiet wins.

The pages feel like a late-night conversation with a friend who finally tells the truth. No melodrama. No easy fixes. Just honesty, grace, and the slow work of healing. Grounded in everyday life and faith, it's contemporary literary fiction with heart. If you've ever felt broken, this story will make you feel seen-and remind you that cracks can let the light in.

If you like stories that are real, emotional, and straight to the point-this one's for you. It's the kind of book that won't necessarily make you feel good, but it might make you feel understood.
