The first book was about a caterpillar stepping out of her cocoon in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh; then gently gaining strength in Kashi...Eventually growing her wings!
The time spent in Kashi were beyond her imagination. They began with rituals, river Ganga, beautiful aarti processions each evening by Ganga ghats... and slowly that she too got colored in the shades of kashi.
Music, art, poetry, paintings, story tellers, seers - aah! She met all kinds of people. And all kinds of arts flowed through her.And she didn't even realize when she crossed the line between caterpillar and butterfly. When her wings showed up, when she began to fly...
The first book was about her caterpillar phase.
This one is called 'Butterfly'. They share her experiences in Kashi with various sessions of poetry, music, art, bhakti.... she found her wings and ensured to taste every flower she could artistically. And then there was a saturation point. She wanted more. And she flew even higher.
The ending portion of the book therefore includes a few poems she wrote in Delhi via which she reached Old Manali (Her soul's home).
The series is there for anyone undergoing the similar process of evolution. It's the light at the end of the tunnel. It's a living proof that there is an end to the dark night of the soul. That the tunnel does get over. That there is a beautiful world out there where you can also reach!
The next in the series would be called 'Eagle'. Where she would be sharing her experiences of Manali - the good and bads and how to overcome all that and still soar higher - reaching the horizon, the snowy peaks, the blues of the sky!
For now, experience the fluttery wingy flight of a colored butterfly!
