At seventeen, Charron dreamed of college, becoming a pediatrician, and creating a successful future for herself. An unexpected pregnancy changed that path and introduced her to young motherhood, responsibility, and a different kind of purpose.
Years later, Charron found herself experiencing housing instability while raising her children. From staying with family to living in a church shelter, spending time in a hotel, and eventually receiving the keys to an apartment of her own, she learned that asking for help did not make her weak-and that starting over did not make her a failure.
Her journey continued through an unhealthy and abusive marriage that forced her to question what love, loyalty, and strength really meant. When the relationship became life-threatening, Charron made the difficult decision to leave and begin again.
Through motherhood, homelessness, heartbreak, healing, and rebuilding, she discovered that strength is not about how much pain a person can endure. Sometimes strength means walking away, setting boundaries, accepting help, forgiving yourself, and deciding that your story will not end where your pain began.
Built From Nothing is a deeply personal memoir about survival, accountability, self-love, motherhood, resilience, and turning painful experiences into purpose. Charron shares her story not because she has lived a perfect life, but because she wants readers facing their own difficult chapters to know they are not alone.
Her message is simple:
It's never how you started. It's how you finish.
