When Buddy and Olive go looking for their lost soccer ball, they come across a mysterious tunnel. As soon as they go through the tunnel, they realize that they have gone back in time. They don't find their ball, but they do find an egg. At first they think, it's a snake's or a bird's egg, but when the tiny creature hatches they discover that it is a baby dinosaur...a triceratops!

They nickname him Tops and as they help Tops look for his parents, they come across lots of peace-loving herbivores and some scary, sharp-toothed carnivores! Will Buddy and Olive be able to help Tops find his parents? Will they be able to help their friends the Panoplosauruses escape from the meat-eating Tyrannosaurus rex? Will they be able to find their soccer ball and get back home? Read Buddy and Olive, A Dinosaur Adventure to find out!
