Welcome to Volume 19: The Void-Bound Trio. This installment provides a bizarre, darkly comedic break from the relentless grimdark tragedy of The Broken Tavern, introducing a trio of unlikely anomalies: Min, a cynical and gloomy young girl; Billo, an overly cheerful boy in knight's armor; and Mors (also known as Mon), a literal Grim Reaper. Serving as a brilliant homage to classic dark cartoons, this trio finds themselves trapped in the apex-predator dungeon after their original universe was completely deleted.
While other adventurers fight desperately for survival against the shifting gothic architecture, the Void-Bound Trio approaches the Tavern with pure, unadulterated apathy. As they wander the deadly corridors, Billo remains blissfully ignorant of the danger, asking for ice cream, while Min sarcastically promises he can lick a monster made of chocolate if they find one.
Their utter lack of fear or ambition creates a fatal paradox for the Tavern's immune system. When the dungeon's Evaluator attempts to process and execute them, it cannot mathematically resolve their absolute apathy. Unable to categorize or consume their unique karmic non-alignment, the system effectively gives up. Instead of destroying them, the Tavern simply drops an obsidian wall in front of them to ignore their existence, officially logging them as a Permanent Wipe. Systemic Excision Complete. Whoops..
Ultimately, the trio becomes The Squatters of the Tavern. They remain perfectly safe, permanently homeless, and comfortably ignored in the dark maintenance shafts. In reality, they spend their days sitting on a stained thrift-store couch in the void, eating ice cream and watching an interdimensional TV. As the volume's tagline perfectly warns: The Tavern Remembers Your Karma, but it doesn't know how to handle squatters.
