Britton of the Seventh is a historical romance novel written by Cyrus Townsend Brady and published in 1914. The story is set in the late 19th century in the Great Northwest region of the United States, during the time of General George Armstrong Custer's campaign against the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes. The main character, Captain Britton, is a young officer in the Seventh Cavalry, who falls in love with a beautiful and mysterious woman named Maida Waring. As Britton and his comrades fight against the Native Americans, they also face many personal challenges and struggles, including jealousy, betrayal, and loss. The novel provides a vivid portrayal of the harsh realities of life on the frontier, as well as the complex relationships between soldiers and civilians, and between different cultures. Overall, Britton of the Seventh is a thrilling and emotional tale of love, war, and adventure in the American West. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
