This booklet is a modest attempt to interest our neighbours in their surroundings. To increase the attractions of our villages, to arouse an interest in their history and social life, to know more about the lives of those who trod our village street in by-gone times, as well as to stimulate local patriotism, is an effort well worth the attempt.
