She was transferred and admitted to a local psychiatric ward, where for the first time, she gained insight into her early attachment trauma. Her keen perceptiveness allowed her to stay connected with her own experience as a patient, rather than viewing herself through the highly socialized perspectives of doctors or therapists. Perhaps, by remaining in the hospital for an extended period, her life might finally find a renewed sense of hope...
