Blanche, Queen of Castile: A Poem is a literary work written by Ronda in 1883. The book tells the story of Blanche of Castile, who was a queen of France and the mother of King Louis IX. The poem is divided into four parts, each of which focuses on a different aspect of Blanche's life. The first part describes her childhood and her marriage to Louis VIII. The second part focuses on her role as regent while her son was still a minor. The third part deals with her religious devotion and her involvement in the construction of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. The final part of the poem describes her death and her legacy. Throughout the book, Ronda uses vivid imagery and poetic language to bring Blanche's story to life. The work is an excellent example of historical poetry and provides readers with insight into the life of a powerful woman in medieval Europe. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
