I SHOULD BE DEAD☠️The Life of Z
Don Double O Szabo has spent nearly 50 years living on the edge-pushing the limits of skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, motocross, and now mountain biking. He's survived brutal crashes, wild stunts, 10 action sports surgeries, and life-and-death moments that took others out for good. Somehow, he's still here.
But behind the adrenaline was a deeper story-one of love, loss, heartbreak, and healing. Cancer took his mom, dad, and the love of his life. A heart attack, a fall off a cruise ship, a coma, and countless injuries could've ended everything. But grief hit harder than any of them.
Still, Z rides on. Smiling. Grateful. Alive. And ready to share a story no one's heard-until now.
Told by a rider who's survived it all, with raw truth, grit, and soul. This 180-picture-filled memoir is about more than action sports-it's about resilience, redemption, and the mindset it takes to keep going when everything says stop.
If you've ever been knocked down, this book proves you can rise again.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Don Double O Szabo is a former top-tier sponsored skateboarder who transitioned into professional snowboarding in the late '80s through the late '90s, traveling the world for over 10 years and appearing in iconic videos and magazines. After snowboarding, he kept pushing limits through motocross-which ended his snow career early, but he continued riding moto for 20 years total, purely for the love of it-and now channels that same passion into mountain biking.
With nearly 50 years in action sports, Don has survived massive crashes, multiple concussions, a coma, and a heart attack-along with 10 action sports surgeries and close calls that have taken others out. But the toughest blows came off the bike and board: losing his mom, dad, and the love of his life to cancer.
Through it all, Don kept riding, kept smiling, and kept sharing his story. His memoir reflects a lifetime of resilience, mindset, and purpose. Today, he continues to inspire others-still riding, still chasing the next thrill, enjoying nature, exploring the world, and living his best life and looking forward to the next chapter of life
