This is a book with a download to the album. BLACK BLACK BLACK is four men who have nothing to prove, thus allowing their music to pour forth uncompromised, undiluted and utterly ass-kicking. Featuring members of ex Cleveland Ohio heavy rock luminaries Disengage, Black Black Black converged in New York City, with intentions to inflict damage; this isnot music for the faint of heart. Their playing is lean, economical, no breath or gesture wasted. Live & on record, Black Black Black presents an avalanche of sound, impeccably played, with the passion of lifers. Black Black Black's emotional core is singer Jason Byers -- his searching, searing lyrics guide the righteous fury of a locked-in and battle-tested band. The rhythm section of Johnathan Swafford and Jeffrey Ottenbacher (bass and drums, respectively) erect rhythmic structures like steel girders, laying down an earthquake-proof foundation over which guitaristJacob Cox unleashes an array of methodical riffing, waves of feedback, and arabesque flourishes within deceptively melodic, and occasionally epic songs.
