The Book of My Life: De Vita Propria Liber 1929 is an autobiographical work written by the Italian Renaissance scholar and physician, Jerome Cardan. Originally published in Latin in 1576, this memoir provides an intimate and candid account of Cardan's life, including his personal struggles, achievements, and philosophical musings. In this book, Cardan recounts his childhood, his education, and his early career as a physician, astrologer, and mathematician. He also describes his many travels throughout Europe, his encounters with notable figures of his time, and his experiences with love and marriage.Throughout the pages of The Book of My Life, Cardan reflects on his own character and personality, examining his strengths and weaknesses, and exploring his own sense of morality and spirituality. He also shares his thoughts on a range of topics, including politics, religion, and the nature of human existence.Written in a style that is both engaging and insightful, The Book of My Life is a fascinating glimpse into the mind of one of the most brilliant and enigmatic figures of the Renaissance. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the history of science, philosophy, or literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
