The Book of Genesis Decoded is an educational and interpretive reference guide created to help modern readers understand the language and context of the King James Version of Genesis.
I personally wanted a better understanding of the Bible but when I opened it, it was hard for me to read.I turned what was a very difficult read for me into something easy for me to understand.
I knew if it could help me understand, it could also help you!
This book was written for clarity - not doctrine.
The King James Version of the Bible is written in English from the early 1600s and translated from much older Hebrew source material. Over time, language has shifted, cultural assumptions have changed, and many words no longer carry the same meaning they once did. As a result, Genesis is often misunderstood, misread, or avoided altogether.
This book exists to address that gap.
Each passage of Genesis is presented in three clearly defined parts:
- The original King James Version text (public domain)
- A modern, plain-English interpretation focused on meaning rather than tradition
- Contextual clarification when historical, cultural, or linguistic background is necessary
This work does not claim religious authority, divine inspiration, or doctrinal accuracy.
It is not an official Bible translation.
It is not a devotional, sermon, or theological instruction manual.
Interpretation is presented as explanation - not command.
The author does not tell readers what to believe, how to practice faith, or how scripture should be applied to personal life. Readers are encouraged to think critically, question freely, and form their own conclusions. The author was not influenced by any outside opinion or organization. Making this a very practical and easy to understand read.
Why this book was written:
The author created this guide after personally struggling to understand Genesis through traditional presentations alone. Rather than seeking to change or replace the text, this book was written to make the original language more accessible by restoring historical and cultural context that modern readers often lack.
Knowledge does not weaken belief.
Understanding does not replace faith.
Clarity comes before interpretation.
