This book asks is a continuation in the SOC series and is narrated by Rufus Deertail (just like in book 3). It picks off from where book 3 ended and has an attachment to the main storyline from the first two books who were narrated by Arnold Fitzgerald. This fourth book asks a question about how a person can exist in society after being implicated with a crime. It has always been complicated to me not to define someone for what they got caught doing but rather having a mind that is able to conceive that it once did something wrong but served his punishment and is able to get on with life and have a future without suffering for eternity because of the mistake. What I am not trying to say is that everyone has to be of a certain sort of mind all the time and my creative writings about this character is not indicative of my own. Knowing right from wrong is something I also find both hard and easy to describe. Of course, I think in our minds or imagination we can always entertain all kinds of thoughts while right from wrong in society is something easier because we have learned from experience to follow the legal system to stay out of trouble. I'm asking the question, what should a person do after they get in trouble and want to have a quality life afterward? Does that mean my character had all his beliefs together at the time? No, he was unique and not perfect by any means but does someone need to have a complete answer set to moral questions before being released from punishment? I think the criminal justice system in this story works to help criminals find a way to get back into the real world while accepting that what they did was wrong. Final note, this example of what happened to a person under the Millennial 2084 mind control regimentation is not a one example describes all. For instance, the author does not advocate for breaking the rules and the main message should not be understood as such but there is a different meaning to focus on. Interestingly enough, this is a unique story and if you have read into this series very much you should have some other ideas about the main idea such as, well a big picture I have had in general is how having a perfect experience is great but perfection is both not always possible and in a way... it is the imperfections or the things going on other than picture perfect that give life meaning and something to think about. In a way it is in very much the case in many ways that even when we are in trouble and when we are not albeit simply going about our day, the types of things that don't go right while going forth trying to accomplish the goals we have set or what we want to do, it is the other things or unique things that happen during the experience that make reality feel more complete compared to perfection.
