This book is a literature review on the biology of legume adaptation to salt and water stress. In particular, it focuses on the model plant Medicago truncatula Gaertner (alfalfa). This modest volume discusses legumes and their environmental significance (adaptation to water and salt stress), the genetic variability of these plants, and also the genomic aspects of the model plant Medicago truncatula Gaertn.
