Parents take care of their children's financial needs until they leave education, but from then on a child needs to be independent financially. So extra household bills, plus vet bills, and a new car, all have to be paid for. Billy wants a new skateboard but finds out he cannot have everything all the same time without earning, and saving, his own money.
