Bigger Than You was written to spark the conversation about racism in the special needs community. With the state of chaos our world is in today, it was imperative that the difficult conversation be had in our home. How do you explain hate to someone who only knows love? My son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and because he is a black male I believe him to be a target for racial discrimination. But with this diagnosis that makes him a potentially misunderstood target. I pray over him daily and taught him what to do if he finds himself in a compromising position. I also taught him a phrase that could one day save his life. Bigger Than You is the actual conversation I had with my son on the way to school and It was my duty to encourage others by sharing this moment.
