Why do we cover the political? Why read scores of news articles from secular news websites like Fox news, Israel National News, and the Jerusalem post? As one Bible prophecy preacher summed it up, we cover the political as it sets the stage for the prophetic to be fulfilled. When I look at the daily news coming into my email box from secular news outlets, I pick out those most interesting. A news story that I believe have prophetic implications. I do not take my news sources from Prophecy websites that cover a story but never give the source as to where the story originated. Unfortunately, Bible prophecy teachers make a mountain out of a mole hill. Bible prophecy has gotten a terrible reputation from those who seek to make a name for themselves. They do this by hyping the story. They dramatize and make it bigger than what it seems. Others set dates for the Rapture and hype up the big day as it approaches. The big day becomes the big disappointment as their date setting day fails as usual. Satan loves date setters. Why? Because when their dates for the Rapture fail it brings nothing but contempt for the doctrine of Bible prophecy in the eyes of the world. This has happened too many times! You never hear from these people again or their followers. We need to be Biblicist in these last days. We need to avoid they hype and drama of YouTube Eschatology. Don't misunderstand me. I have hundreds of videos on YouTube. But there are those on YouTube who hype Bible prophecy or make a President of the USA the Messiah or the Antichrist. This stuff is replete on YouTube. As a student of Bible prophecy for 31 years that is exactly what I am, a student. I strive to apply a proper Hermeneutic to the Scriptures. Hermeneutics is the science of biblical interpretation, who is speaking? Who is he speaking to? What is he speaking about?When we apply that biblical rule of thumb, we will ascertain the right biblical doctrine. We also apply Inductive Bible Study. We compare Scripture with Scripture. The Bible is its best own interpreter. We go wrong doctrinally when we apply eisegeses. That simply means we put our own thoughts and ideas into the biblical text. We must exegete the text. That means we draw the intended meaning of the text. I pray this book will help you to do exactly that.We will look at the Geo-Political activities as I did in my first book, Bible Eschatology and give you a prophetic perspective from a plain sense interpretation of the Word of God. When it is all said and done, I hope you are ready to shout, Hallelujah! Even so come Lord Jesus!
