A Gift from the Silent Generation, by Ronald Warren Brown, is a collection of essays and poems to give the reader an experience of being in another time and place. A place without computers, cell phones, or television. What would life be like? Ron frees our imagination and takes away from our complex life for a while. Brown takes us back to a simpler time to glean the wisdom from the life lessons offered in the past.
Like a time capsule, this collection is a fulfilling experience for those who want to embrace a novel life that captures a golden era.
About the AUthor
A child of the Silent Generation, Ronald Warren Brown grew up during WWII. Brown's words were few, but they were always meaningful. He graduated from Waynesburg College with an accounting degree and received a masters degree from Duquesne University while serving in the United States Army Reserves. He went on to become quite accomplished in accounting, making a lifelong career as an international tax executive and developing a new theory in monetary conversion.
Brown's dream was to become a published author. He read extensively and was especially fond of Shakespeare and found much inspiration from the Old Testament from the Bible as well as his life experiences.
