COLOUR EDITION In the name of Allah, the Benificent, the Merciful Abū Hurayra raḍiyAllahu ʿanhu) narrates that the Prophet (ṣallalLāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) said:
I have been sent specifically to perfect noble conduct.
(Mālik, Aḥmad, Bukhārī) Islam gives each Muslim the challenge and lifelong mission to develop and refine their character, morals, manners, attitudes and behaviour. This mission forms a large and crucial portion of Islamic teachings, and any student of Islamic knowledge must become familiar with this aspect of Islam. This textbook covers some Qurʾān and hadith texts relating to ḥuqūq and akhlāq: the rights of others and behaviour toward them. The teachers should familiarise their students themselves with the texts and words, help them understand the lessons being conveyed and enable them to grasp the practical applications in everyday life. I pray that Allah accepts this humble efforts and makes it beneficial for the ummah.
