I didn't know who I could believe or not. My life was in danger at the reserve, my life was in danger outside the reserve, actually my life was in danger pretty much everywhere. And I was the one who was supposed to be dangerous, so much so no one should even venture near me.

Of course, Eter, Sierra, Emriel and Logan were fussing over me to make my stay as agreeable as possible, yet what they didn't tell me was the fact that I wasn't allowed to leave the Alters' land. Apparently risking your life for the reserve was regarded as some kind of pledge of allegiance. They meant to chain me to the place so I could ensure its safety forever. No way. That was just out of the question.

I was going to give them the slip, no matter the danger. I had to find my father and I had a million questions waiting for answers, which I certainly wasn't going to get lying in bed all day.

If I had to start a war to leave this place, then so be it.
