Begin to see God, our Father, as being as real to you as your earthly or biological father. This is not to equate God with your earthly father in any way, but rather to make the personality of God so real to you that your faith in Him begins to increase.

Before we can sincerely fathom our relationship with God, we must discard our misconceptions about Him. Many people see God as a distant being, like a Judge or an authority. There is no distance between God and us, and He is approachable, just as our earthly fathers are accessible to us. He is holy and righteous, but this is not the totality of His character revealed to mankind. In the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, God calls us into an intimate relationship with Him - a fellowship built on love and care. He not only tolerates us but also adopts us. He is not distant from us; rather, He is near, and He calls us His children. Therefore, we are not alone, for He is our Father, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:18 And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Through this Bible verse, the Lord is not only speaking to and assuring the people of Corinth that He will be their Father, but also you and me.

The Creator of the universe-He who can heal every disease, supply all your needs, set the captive free and do all things-is telling us that He is our Father. What a great privilege! If your earthly father has the ability, he is often willing to satisfy all your needs, yet he may not always be able to because of human limitations. Herein lies our faith: God, who is able to do exceedingly more than we could ever need, ask, or think, is now our Father. There is nothing you need in this world that He cannot provide for you because He is a loving Father. He is all in all.

However, for many people, seeing God as Father may seem strange or unfamiliar. Our experiences with our earthly fathers can shape our understanding of fatherhood, sometimes making it difficult to trust in our Heavenly Father. Nevertheless, divine fatherhood is the perfect and unique example of what true fatherly love is meant to be.

You enter into a new realm when you begin to see God as your Father. It shows that you have recognized your identity as a known, accepted, and loved child-primarily because of who He is and not because of your works. It is a transition from fear to trust, from struggles to rest, and from loneliness to companionship. Therefore, separate yourself from worldly affairs, and He will accept you. You will be His son or daughter, and He will be your Father. For John 1:12 states: But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. This Scripture shows that when you receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, you are brought into a relationship with the Father. Jesus is the bridge that connects mankind to our Heavenly Father. He is the fulfillment of Jacob's ladder in the Old Testament-the connection between Heaven and earth, where angels ascended and descended. Jesus Himself declared that He is the Way to the Father and to Heaven. Let us stand confidently in our identity in Christ, knowing that through His resurrection we have been set free.

This book is therefore written for all and sundry, so that we can consciously begin to see God from a fatherly perspective. For those who are not saved through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, this book serves as an evangelical tool, so that as they read it, by His grace, they may come to see the need to repent and receive Him as their Father.

For believers, however, reading this book will help us remain constantly aware of our intimacy with God as our Father.
