Before you were born, I missed you

with all my mind and might.

I long awaited your sweet birth

my love, my little light.

In Before You Were Born, I Missed You, a mother shares the love and longing she felt for her child years before her baby arrived-be it birth or adoption. In her song, she describes tender moments now shared between parent and child. It honors a mother's difficult or delayed pregnancy while showing the child-reader the love that has always surrounded him or her.
