That night he invited his daughters to close their eyes and listen to his words as he guided them through imagining all the different things they would see and feel at the most peaceful place he could think of - the beach.
He ended with the same words that close this book: You take a deep breath, and you close your eyes, and slowly... slowly... you drift off to sleep.
And to his amazement, they did.
Night after night, his daughters asked for The Beach Story, not only to fall asleep, but to calm their hearts after nightmares. Over the years, they've heard it hundreds of times, yet it continues to bring them peace, comfort, and rest.
