A warmhearted bedtime story about friendship, courage, and a little polar bear with a big secret.
Bristle is a curious young polar bear who lives with her parents high above the town of Iceberg, Alaska. For her eighth birthday, she receives a very special gift: a magical sleep stone.
With this stone, Bristle can collect sleep, bring light into the darkness, and find her way home. But the sleep stone is not a toy. Bristle must take good care of it - and that becomes harder than she expects.
When Bristle secretly becomes friends with Pinga, a girl from the village, a wonderful adventure begins. The two become friends, share a big secret, and discover that polar bears and people may be able to become friends again.
But then the sleep stone is stolen.
Suddenly, no one in the village can sleep. Then everyone falls asleep. And Bristle and Pinga must work together to get the stone back before the whole village falls into chaos.
The Bedtime Borrower is a loving, magical read-aloud story for children ages 4 to 8 - with polar bears, friendship, small dangers, gentle humor, and a happy ending.
Ideal for parents, grandparents, and children who love animal stories, magical adventures, and bedtime stories.
