The Beavers, The Dam and The River: Mama Mathilde's Tales from the Bayou

When a hole in the dam threatens to destroy their home waters just before winter sets in Sammy sets out to patch the hole despite how cold he is while doing it. He enlists the aid of his cousin Bucky and they do end up patching the dam. Similarly Sammy enlists Bucky again a month later to secure the winter food cache. These two actions enforce in both young beaver's minds the importance of staying true to your commitments and honoring our duty.
