Be Brave Like Coen the Unicorn is a heartwarming and empowering children's story that teaches young readers one of life's most important lessons: when you are being bullied-or see someone being bullied-you should always speak up and tell a trusted adult.
Perfect for children ages 3 to 8, this beautifully written and illustrated story follows Coen the Unicorn, a bright, kind-hearted unicorn who loves school, learning, and playing with his friends. Everything seems perfect in Coen's world until a classmate named Brutus starts teasing him, making fun of his sparkly blue mane and blocking his way on the playground.
At first, Coen doesn't know what to do. Should he ignore it? Should he hide how he feels? Like many young children, Coen feels confused and alone. But Coen is brave. He takes the first step and tells his good friend Luna about the bullying. Luna stands up for Coen, but the teasing doesn't stop.
Feeling sad and unsure, Coen finally shares his troubles with his teacher, Miss Willow, who encourages him to also talk to his mum and dad. With the help of his teacher and parents, Coen learns that he doesn't have to face bullying alone. Together, they speak with Brutus, who realizes the harm he has caused and apologizes for his actions.
Through Coen's journey, children learn the power of courage, honesty, and asking for help. The story emphasizes that being brave isn't about facing problems all on your own-it's about knowing when to reach out to people who care about you.
