In the first edition of The Big Book Of Armenian Songs, you'll find over 200 songs written by Armenian composers between the 18th and 20th centuries, as well as folk songs transcribed by Komitas and his students. For each song, there are sheet music and song lyrics available, both in Armenian and transliterated into English, so that non-Armenian speakers can also perform the songs. There are more than 350 pages in this volume filled with favorite melodies every Armenian knows, such as Noubar - Noubar, Garun e Galis, Dle Yaman, Tsaghkats Baleni, Karine, Kilikia, Zartir Lao, Yeraz, Erebouni-Yerevan, Im Yerevan, Gyumri-Leninakan, Ari Im Sokhak, and others.
In this book, we find a wide range of composers - from Paghtasar Dpir (18th century) to some of the best composers and lyricists of Soviet Armenia (Khachatur Avetisyan, Aleksey Hekimyan, Alexander Dolukhanyan to name a few).
