The Battle Of Connemara is a historical novel written by Kathleen OMeara. The book is set in the early 19th century in Connemara, a region in the west of Ireland. The story follows the lives of two families, the O'Connors and the O'Flahertys, who are bitter enemies due to a long-standing feud. The O'Connors are a wealthy family who own a large estate in Connemara, while the O'Flahertys are a poor family who live in a small cottage on the edge of the O'Connors' property. The feud between the two families has been going on for generations, and both sides are determined to destroy the other. As the story unfolds, tensions between the two families escalate, and a battle breaks out between them. The battle is brutal and bloody, with both sides suffering heavy losses. In the end, the O'Connors emerge victorious, but at a great cost. The Battle Of Connemara is a gripping tale of love, betrayal, and revenge set against the backdrop of one of Ireland's most beautiful regions. O'Meara's vivid descriptions of the landscape and the people who inhabit it bring the story to life, making it a must-read for anyone interested in Irish history and culture. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
