BAKED ALASKA - Screenplay Description
By Drew Simpson & Daniel Simpson
A high-stakes geopolitical thriller that blends global power struggles with deeply human stories, Baked Alaska is a gripping screenplay that explores what happens when diplomacy, ambition, and survival collide.
Set against the backdrop of escalating international tension, the story begins on a quiet Christmas morning-quickly shattered by intelligence of an imminent cyberattack targeting global financial systems. As world leaders scramble to respond, a far more dangerous reality emerges: a fragile alliance between nations is on the brink of collapse.
From Washington to Ottawa, from the oil sands of Alberta to the icy waters of Alaska, Baked Alaska weaves together multiple storylines-politicians under pressure, military strategists navigating impossible choices, and everyday individuals caught in the crossfire of decisions far beyond their control.
At its core, this screenplay examines:
- The cost of power and political ambition
- The fragile balance between peace and conflict
- The human consequences of global decision-making
With cinematic scope, sharp dialogue, and layered characters, Baked Alaska delivers a thought-provoking and suspense-driven narrative ideal for film or television adaptation.
