Bailfire and Brimstone

The odour of sweet wood smoke blended with roasting flesh, the crackle of burning timber mixed with agonized screams and unheeded weeping for mercy.

Haunted by the death of his mother for witchcraft, male witch, Munro, travels the land, seeking revenge on those responsible. Using dark magicke and wreaking retribution with bailfire and brimstone, takes Munro to the dark side. He knows more about the seen and unseen world than any witch alive.

Cursed to walk the earth, with no hope for salvation, could he be the only one that can rescue the blameless? Redemption may be on the horizon, but Munro is a reluctant hero.

A dark as pitch tale set in the reign of James Ist and the bloody hysteria over witchcraft. Terrifying folk horror from a Mistress of the art.

PRAISE FOR DRWG STONES BY RAVEN DANE

'Creepy and delivering a nice dose of Pagan horror, Drwg Stones doesn't manifest as you might expect a stone-circle-of-evil story to. It explores striking characters and emotion, with a folklore backdrop; but it nonetheless serves on a plate everything you'd want, from insightful and weird histories, a book to discomfort your psyche more than one to discomfort you with simple goosebumps.' Ben Unsworth, Goodreads

'I couldn't put it down! I loved the characters - they all felt so rounded, like I could get in their heads. Beautifully written. The suspense and action of a thriller but with enough emotional story and character development to keep me interested and caring about what happened to them.' Laputian Queen, Amazon

'Creepy and atmospheric - definitely a read if you love pagan and folklore stories.' Hello, Amazon

'The story sank deep into the history of the town and the creepiness of the story just seeped into my psyche! I would find myself getting caught up in the story and reading the book late into the night as I just could not put the book down!' Marie, Goodreads

'It always surprises me how there are so many books out there that are just fantastic that have so little reviews. This is a truly fascinating world. Creepy, somewhat lovecraftian, and recognisable as post war era. Loved it.' SH, Amazon
