Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9 (NIV) For most, the badge is a symbol of law, trust, respect, and honor. It is equated with symbols of authority for those who take an oath to uphold the integrity that comes with upholding order, such as police and fire personnel whom we entrust to maintain the safety and sanctity of our neighborhoods and communities. But what happens when the symbol we've come to equate with authority takes on an entirely different meaning?
In The Badge, Author Irene Reyes-Smith redefines The Badge as Broken Authority that Determines Governing Equality. In these pages, you'll discover the nuances that The Badge holds beyond what we are accustomed to, as well as the part we play in upholding the true meaning with integrity, humility and respect. The Word of God is our ultimate protection and shield; however, the men and women who wear the badge everyday are human, have feelings, and just want to know that they are appreciated. What do you see when The Badge comes into view? Dive inside, and discover the truth that will not only renew your perspective, it will lead you to the peace behind the symbol.
