Arcola, located in the vibrant Fort Bend County, offers a unique blend of rural charm and urban convenience. With a reputation for its strong sense of community and progressive vision, Arcola is a town where rich traditions pave the way for new opportunities. As the township's population grew to 680 residents, community leaders recognized the need for formal governance and essential services. On December 17, 1980, a group of 20 devoted community members submitted an application to Fort Bend County Judge Jodie E. Stavinoha, aiming to officially incorporate Arcola as a Town. The proposed incorporation area encompassed exactly two miles.
