From 1954 until 1985, the Spartanburg YMCA operated Camp Skyuka - a wonderful summer camp that provided fun-filled, happy memories for thousands of children from Spartanburg and surrounding areas. The camp was located on beautiful White Oak Mountain near Columbus, North Carolina. This book was written because it was a story waiting to be told. It is simply a scrapbook intended to be a snapshot of a special place and time.
