Writing poems and keeping journals since leaving her mums house at 14, Jade Ellis has now decided to let you in on a more intimate level by sharing her first poetry collection, Jades collection of poems honestly and artfully confront controversial sometimes dark topics ranging from survival to relationships. Of her poetry, Jade remarks: It's lyrics. Its poetry It's my experiences. It's my vulnerability. It's my honesty. It's my survival, its everything combined into one, basically I'm sharing a little piece of my soul. Yes, I am a Black British woman who has come from an unsettled way of life I grew up in South West London in an estate which is basically known has one of London's top 5 worst areas to live in. I guess it's about emotions, its about loyalty, its about progression and just arising from the concrete really Author Jade Ellis poetry further chronicles her exploration of self-empowerment whilst showing the understanding she has first-hand witnessed towards difficulties which may arise between intimate couples. Jades candid observations of relationships, reckless behavior, and the constant struggle to maintain a sense of self have been chronicled in Arose from The Concrete. Jades poems will without a doubt evoke many emotions and is without a doubt a structured page turner which will definitely leave you coming back for more.
