Anton''s Place is about love, lies and betrayal, of finding a place in this world, of choices and living with them, a voyage marked by need and desire, scarred by reality and truth. A compassionate and emotional exploration of hearts and minds standing against preconceived notions and prejudice. The past waited for Anton Sauvage in every mirror, every shiny surface, and any reflection that could catch his eye. He avoided even the slightest narcissistic glance and seldom paid attention to the mirrors on the inside of the wardrobe door. Tonight he forced himself to look. After the murder/suicide of his parents, and an attempt on his own life, Anton was adopted by a family whose love nourished him, but eventually brought on another tragedy. He vowed never to let anyone close to him again and started over in a new place denying his past and keeping his secrets. When he met Christina Bartelli that vow was broken but their love opened the door to his past and the truth that would inevitably come out. Her father''s violent objection to the affair forced Christina to leave his home, to live with Anton. Domenic hired a detective to get something against Anton, to get his daughter to come home. Knowing more lives than his could be ruined Anton ended the affair. When Christina threatens to return to Anton her father gives her the Detective's report. Confronted with his past by the woman he loves Anton attempts to end his life, but fate was not about to let this soul off easy. Whatever else he is, Anton is a survivor. Although he loses Christina, he struggles to get on with his life while she, at the insistence of her parents, marries another. The story does not end there.
