Through a series of letters, follow the conversations and musings of Miss Margaret Lesley and Miss Charlotte Lutterell.
Penned when Austen was just 14 years old and unfinished at the time of her death, Lesley Castle introduces the engaging tales of the Lesley sisters and their social circle, capturing the charm and satire of Austen's early writing, with all of Austen's original spelling quirks.
Miss Margaret Lesley and Miss Charlotte Lutterell discuss such subjects as adultery, elopement, divorce, and remarriage, and it soon becomes clear that they are shallow, trivial women, and easy targets for Jane Austen's sharp wit and social satire.
